Envy Or Idolization?

I think I'm stuck between a feeling of envy and idolization. There are things that my friends have that I've craved, but don't have in my life. Yet, even though it seems like envy, I feel like I want to be like them, like a role model or idol. I shouldn't really be feeling like this, but lately it's becoming apparent this is the situation I'm stuck in.

Does anybody else feel stuck in this divide or do you have a solution to get out of it?

hi
I want you to understand that it's okay to feel jealous. Everyone feels jealous at some point in their life. We don't have to feel bad for feeling jealous !! It's very normal !
First, we need to know from where does jealousy come?
Jealousy comes the moment we compare ourselves with others !!!
It takes a lot of effort to stop comparing ourselves with others. It is almost impossible.
There is something we forget in the process of comparing ourselves.
“Normally, we compare every part of us to the one best part of everyone
And this is completely illogical. Noone knows all 360° about someone. Even our parents don’t know us completely .Everyone has their own amount of strengths and weakness. Because we see only the best part of others doesn't make us any lesser than them.
Secondly, how to get rid of jealousy ?
There is a popular saying, you persist what you resist
We don't feel bad for positive emotions like happiness ,excitement, joyous etc. But we have this urge to escape our bad emotions like sadness, anger, frustration, jealousy etc.
Humans are emotional animals. We are bound to get both positive and negative emotions. It is important to let them flow through us rather than bottling up inside or trying to get rid of it. The only way to get rid of jealousy is to feel it. Listen to it. All those words and images coming out of the situation is the talk of your jealous body . You are not connected to it or identifying with it. We are humans and this is our ego self disguised as jealous body that do the talking. The moment we become aware of jealous body is the moment we dissociate with it !! We become jealous free!
Third, why do jealousy reside within us?
Whenever I feel jealous, I take that as a key to improvement . I say sentences to myself to reach the root of the problem . Something like this. I feel jealous because I think I need to work on this part of me ( it can be anything - studies, body image, health, relationship status etc)”
When I know what I'm lacking or needs improvement, I don't have reason to feel bad for that part of me because I'm already working on it !
We also need to understand that there is always someone who is going to beat us in some way. The solution here is not to be better than someone but to become our best self where we no longer feel the need to feel jealous as we think we are already cool.
So, don't be hard on yourself. Noone is perfect. Everyone has their flaws. Accept this part of you . It is okay !
You are loved. You are enough. You are worthy.
Hope my answer helps !
