Sixth form taster day HELPP

My sixth form taster day is next week. The sixth form taster day dress code is ‘smart casual’ would it be alright if I wore blue jeans, trainers and a sweater. I doubt I have anything ‘smart’. If not what counts as ‘smart casual’ ?

From examples I’ve seen, you can wear jeans, sweaters and trainers ^^ I also see some wearing a loose blazer, so if you own one you could throw it on (if not, I’m sure it’s fine). If you own any dress shoes or loafers, you could wear those, but “smart casual” seems to allow a bit more freedom.
You could also wear a button up shirt underneath to look a bit more “smart”, plus it’s getting hot so you could take your jumper off  if you’re a bit off, it’ll probably be okay, not like they’re gonna shout at you

Hi there, a sixth former here!

smart casual is usually a blouse/blazer look with pants or skirt (depending on what you prefer) colours are mainly black and white. Basically like an office workplace fit. However i'm sure they wont mind if you don't have any black pants or blouse/blazer, as long as your clothing is appropriate for the taster day it should be fine. let me know if you need any tips or inspo on how to form a smart casual look though!
