Advices how to prepare for chemstry A level(only done gcse foundation

Hello
I have worked so hard on myself to develop my english and my education
Eventually, I had grades of
5 food
5 combined scince
4 maths
4 sitisticks
3 english langouge
3 geogrophy one mark of 4
My dream is to become someone who is a health professional, e.g, radiogropher, diatetiion and more of these kinds of jobs.
But now it seems rather impossible
As I only did fondation for gcse, my level of knowledge isn't high enough
To do A levels... but the school that I went to allowed me to do the A levels because they saw how hard I worked.
Therefore, I am willing to work over the summer holidays to improve my chemistry knowledge...
I will be taking
Biology
Chemstry
And another A level, not sure of atm
Any tips on how to improve my chemistry skills if I only did foundation
I know that I need to lurn the higher stuff but I really need the key parts that will help me with the A level as, you know we don't have much time;summer holidays only like about a month long which isn't enough to revice the hole Chemstry book
Any tips will... I will be grateful thank you!!!

there’s quite a big step from higher gcse chem to a level chem, but a lot of the stuff u learn in a level chem anyway is different to at gcse. so it’s probably best if u do learn some AS content, but ensuring first u have a higher gcse understanding of bonding, atomic structure, organic chemistry, chemical equations (using formulae), and quantitative chemistry (mole calculations etc.) for these topics use freesciencelessons, cognito and seneca

That was very helpful, thank you! I know it is. It is a big step.... but I will stay my best.
Is there any more tips you can give me. E.g more topics you can think of?

periodic table, energy changes and the rate and extent of chemical change are the other big topics to look at, so yeah it's most of the course u need to be proficient in at a higher level. has your school provided any bridging work?

I just completed A level chemistry. It is a tough course, and this is from someone who got an 8 in triple science chemistry. I remember revising really hard and still getting C/D’s all of year 12 (this has improved in Y13). My sixth form lets people do a level bio/chem with 5’s in science GCSE and they are all getting U’s. The jump is just too massive.

However you seem to be hardworking. It is possible for you to succeed in chemistry, but you will have to put in more effort and do a lot of revision over the summer. Have you also considered Level 3 Applied Science?

If you want to take A levels you have to know what you are getting yourself into. It is the hardest A level you can take, and will require a lot of dedication. Taking 11 GCSEs cannot compared to 3 A levels - do not be fooled.
