Which uni offer CBL, PBL, Traditional for Medicine

Hi

I was wondering if there is a site that inform prospective students the course structure of each medical schools in PBL, CBL and Traditional.

I know for Traditional: Oxbridge, UCL, maybe St Andrew

CBL: Imperial (though I understand from unibuddy IC students claiming its PBL), Manchester

PBL: UEA etc

Thanks

Hi @Jonjon7

For UEA please see this webpage:
https://www.uea.ac.uk/web/about/faculties-and-schools/faculty-of-medicine-and-health-sciences

In terms of Problem Based Learning, UEA are highly connected with Norwich Research Park and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, which are amazing.

For example of a course structure for medicine, please see here: https://www.uea.ac.uk/course/undergraduate/mbbs-medicine/2024-25/sep

To search more courses in the medical school, please see here: https://www.uea.ac.uk/search/courses/

Once, you have clicked on a course, then it will tell you the module and course outline for all years.

Please let me know if you have any further questions

Thanks Lucy. I live in Reading and consider the location of med school too. But am considering which teaching to eventually train in. My predicted grades are 4A*.

Hi there,
I've been using this one from medicmind:
https://www.medicmind.co.uk/medicine-ucas-guide/teaching-style-lecture-pbl-cbl/

However its a little outdated in that it doesn't include some of the newer medical schools like Bangor (CBL/integrated) and that many of the 'integrated' unis largely use CBL (like Liverpool) or PBL (like Exeter) so I'd still recommend reading more about each one on each uni's website.

Hope this helps
