Hello, I'm interested in buying a 2007 auto petrol Chevrolet Matiz because of it's low insurance costs but it only has 51 hp and a 0.8L engine. If anyone has this car or has some knowledge about it, please tell me if it's a good first car and how fuel efficient it is. 🙂

If it is your first car, and you plan on only doing short journeys, the car should be good enough. If you plan on commuting to work every day or travelling long distances, I would go with a second hand Golf TDI from pre 2010s as they are the most reliable cars I have ever seen. Personally, I would always go for cheap Golfs because they are really reliable, have low road tax and insurance isn't too high.

I wouldn't go with the chevvy then. I might go for a second hand VW Polo which can handle long distances better and are a cheaper version of the golf. Insurance shouldn't be too high either
