How to ace a Student Paramedic Apprenticeship Interview?

I'm planning to apply for a Student Paramedic Apprenticeship this year, and after contacting them the most determining factor for if you get the spot or not is the interview. How can I prepare for the interview that is to come maybe later this year (if I get one at all lol)

Hi, I don't have any particular with experience with student paramedics, however I can send you a resource which will explain how to do well in apprenticeship interviews in general and common questions. Let me know if you'd be interested.

In general, for the interview:

Prepare answers to the common questions

Look directly into the webcam if it's virtual

Make eye contact and handshake at the start and end if in person

Prepare some interesting questions to ask the interviewer at the end (challenge them, not just standard questions)

Hope that helps, once again, let me know if you want me to send a resource with a bunch of common interview questions.

Hi there, yes if you could that would be great thank you. Another thing, could you give me an example of a question I could ask the interviewer? It doesn't need to be a good question just one for inspiration thanks

To add,

I interview for a med tech company in healthcare.

You should put heavy emphasis on the human side of the type of work involved. You’d be expected to align with a particular ethos and conduct yourself in a particular way.

You should look to give evidence of your skills in a way that shows how you’ve taken the initiative in developing yourself, how you’ve developed others, and how you’ve identified and actioned opportunities to develop further. This doesn’t need to be work based evidence, it can be general life experience at apprenticeship level, like caring for a family member.

Demonstrating how this ties to the role you’re applying for is paramount.

Don’t focus on understanding interview questions, work on understanding your strengths, weaknesses, interests, and the value of the experience you have.

Hi, here's some examples of questions I would ask in my interviews:

What are the day to day challenges I would face within this role?

How will success be measured in this apprenticeship and what can I do to perform the best?

And as requested, here's the resource to help you with interviews: https://youtu.be/hIy5eBbYIVk?si=_TweMHeDYUzlNlDl&t=514

Hope that helps and good luck

Why paramedic (ie. and not nursing or whatever).
Why this apprenticeship and not a Uni degree.
What caring /medical experience do you have.
How do you deal with difficult / upset / drunk people.
What are NHS Values.
