I completely get you!!!!
Going out with friends after GCSEs is fun, but you shouldn’t ever have to force yourself to ☹️ your friends should be able to understand that you’re just not feeling like getting up and out everyday; getting ready it EFFORTTTT.
Sometimes I like to lay in bed and chill/rot too haha, sometimes until later in the afternoon than I’d like to admit ;; It’s summer, it’s the optimum time to lol
You’re not lazy and horrible!!!! You’re just using your summer holiday to chill and rest in the way that you want to. Although balance might be good because you seem really unmotivated and exhausted ^^ you can definitely chill and laze around in bed, but remember to try and get enough sleep (or don’t, it’s summer), eat and drink!!
It’s okay to be unproductive, but don’t let the rot consume your life 💪💪 do make sure to drink water and get up every so often, and maybe take a walk? Pretend to be a plant photosynthesising in the sun? Listen to music?
You don’t have to go out everyday, and you’re free to have personal time to bedrot (again, I do too!!), but make sure you’re still taking care of yourself and stuff 🙂 you can do small stuff during the day that can still be fulfilling in a more simple way
While it might be nice to go out with your friends every so often, it’s your choice. You could still FaceTime them or text them. It’s okay to be a little unproductive and lazy; not everyone spends their summer being super busy and productive!! Again, balance is good though, it might be nice to do other stuff too!
Remember you still have 2 months of summer left. Thấy plenty of time to do whatever you want. It’s probably the longest summer of your life, spend it how YOU want. If you want, go hang out with friends. If not, great, you can chill at home and do something else.
But make sure that whatever you’re doing, you’re actually happy and content doing it. If you enjoy chilling and rotting, do it (again again, take care of yourself!!!) and if you feel unmotivated and lazy, that’s okay. You don’t have to be perky and ready to go everywhere. But make you’re still getting the sun and fresh air you need, and that you’re not digging yourself into a hole of negativity.
Find some entertaining shows to watch, or a video series or essay you might enjoy. Do whatever you feel you want to do this summer, but make sure you’re genuinely happy and healthy in the process. Tiredness if valid and okay, but don’t let it ruin you (dramatic, sorry haha)
Also, random and kind of cringe point, but as another GCSE student, I’m proud of you for surviving and completing your exams <33 you deserve to rest
