Sometimes it's hard to resist throbbing biological urges, but if you respect each other's wishes for the friendship, then of course it doesn't have to be a friendship involving you know what.

Jay2013 is simply a Troll or Agitator. He simply says the opposite to what is normal, to get attention. Ignore him.

Yes they can. Its a pretty small minded thing to think they cant. I had a flatmate in first year who was my friend, and whilst I found her attractive, I saw her simply as a friend of mine. There's nothing wrong with it.
Yes 100%. I've got girl friends and many of them I have had since early childhood. Never caught feelings for them.
That's not to say it doesn't happen in some cases, but friendship doesn't really have a gender limitation.

I think they can yes. If you look up "WebMD "ASexual" you might see something along those lines. Romantic attachment but NOT sexual.

Honestly? Just friends? Nah, often the times the guy wanted to have at least sexual relations to me. Even If its casual when those guys stated dating our friendship died a bit down because their girlfriends didnt want me around much (they werent mean about It, they just didnt want a friend hw was clearly attracted around, which I respected); or they themselves refused to present me to their girlfriends - showing that they didnt saw me as totally platonic material. Most of those times was a surprised to me, as I feel I wasnt really the type of those guys.

I think its really hard, unless the guy is gay or you are a close knit group and he is dating and you are really close to his girlfriend/wife. I dont mean men and women cant be in friendly terms. But being genuinely friends (hanging together one and one, sharing deep secrets, etc) is harder, even If theres no interest from a side.
