He liked his exs selfie. Then he posted a picture of him on his story and she liked (hearted) his photo. Then she posted a photo of herself on her story after and he (hearted) liked her story back.

Then she texted him saying “I miss you” then he responded to her saying “I might miss you a little bit too”… is this someone who is just being friendly with a ex or is there more to it ?

Yeah they're still interested in each other.

I'm still friends with a lot of my exes of facebook ect - but hearts, kisses and 'I miss you's would just confuse things.
