Is Trump a bad person / why do people like him?

I know it’s unlikely anyone knows him personally but from what I sense from the media he says some shocking things.

Now I’m not an ultra feminist but the stuff he’s said ie having sex with his daughter (if they weren’t realted) and ‘grabbing her by the p***y is JUST enough for me to not want someone like that running my country.

I know politics is about political views but how come so many are Americans are ok with that?

Politics isn’t my forte but all I know is that I wouldn’t want to be friends with someone like that, let alone elect them to be president

As for Biden, I’m not sure if he’s said anything so shocking & if he has then the same view applies. I know people think he’s a bit ‘wet’ but surely that’s better than trump?

Trump is a convicted criminal, a racist, a misogynist, and an enemy of democracy. The Democrats need to replace Biden, whose health is failing, but a second Trump Presidency would be a disaster for the entire World.

Trump is popular with ill-informed people angered by what they see as a loss of control over their lives. Trump relies on lies and impossible promises, and encourages people to blame their problems on easy targets such as immigrants. Trump is aided by irresponsible media, by social media, and by bots and trolls funded by Russia and China, which use social media and other forms of cyber warfare to de-stabilise the US.
If you compare Trump’s time as President to Biden’s, Trump did a much better job. Hence, a lot of people will be voting for Trump and I expect him to become President once again.
A variety of reasons why people might like or support a bad person:

They're a bad person too

They think that, even if he's bad, they'll benefit from it

Partisanship: their loyalty to supporting their party whatever the circumstance overrides any dislike for the party's candidates

Negative partisanship: their dislike for the other party overrides any dislike for their own party's candidates

Simply being uninformed about the issue

In what way did Trump do Better than Biden? The economy is stronger under Biden. Trump failed to deal effectively with the Pandemic. Trump encouraged Russian aggression and abandoned Afghanistan (Biden is culpable there too). Trump weakened international climate action, and empowered environmental degradation within the US. Trump separated migrant children from their parents, and encouraged division and hatred. Trump attempted to subvert democracy with his false claim that the 2020 election was stolen, his attempts to derail the Electoral College, and his incitement of the failed Coup on 6 January 2021. Trump is a convicted felon, a civil fraudster, and faces several other criminal charges on cogent evidence. Trump would be a disaster if re-elected.

Immigration has got a lot worse since Biden has taken over. Biden has done worse to the economy and inflation than Trump. Look at the way Biden talks and stutters. Do you want someone like that representing your country? I listen to him talk I have to play it on 1.5 x speed. His main tactic in the prior election was to gain sympathy from his dying relatives as a tool to gain votes.
Look at what America has become over the past years since Biden took over. It's a sad state of affairs. Just take a look at the way people dress in LA. I don't know what has happened to America over the past few years to be honest. I look at it and feel sad.

The headline data for the US economy is good right now and is quite to contrast to European countries.

I'm not entirely what the sartorial choices of people in LA says about America. Care to elucidate?

It's ok parroting the left wing mantra - but how do you know? How do you really know what this man is like under the public exterior? Only what you have been told or read about, and is that all true or is this due to bias reporting or broadcast?

Those very people you cite as 'ill informed' people makes a huge assumption on your part. This is a typical response of an overpaid politician or campaigner trying to encourage a 'we know best' outlook - and woe betide if you join the 'idiots' on that side. It suits your ideological programme trying to turn people away from 'another strong leader'.

You assume people are perhaps too poorly educated, and unable to carefully assess the information they read. Those same people are angered by what they see and experience the effects of blundering policy impositions in their daily lives. I think they are perfectly entitled to vote for who they wish. Yes they may view this as a 'loss of control' over their lives. But it is the arrogance of politicians who against the wishes of the electorate force ill thought out policy onto ordinary people because they think it is necessary and progressive. It rides rough shod over the wishes of ordinary people in a 'we know best' approach which really makes a lot of people very angry. A lot of people get angry when the politicians in power who should have the country's security and economy as a priority don't.

Catastrophising words such as 'a disaster for the entire world' is unknown and not necessarily true either is it?

They confidently forget Biden being associated with Epstein and the videos showing the creepy actions from Biden.

Trump shows who he is by his words and actions. No media spin is required.

Someone starting a sentence "Trump is a convicted criminal..." is not left wing mantra. Is a fact. It maybe an inconvenient fact to you but that does not change reality.

If you are really that ignorant as to what Trump is like as a man, may I suggest you take the time to read his social media posts on both Truth Social and his former posts on Twitter? He is a very open book.

I don't know why Trump fan boys bring up Epstein. You are just setting yourself up.

The reality Epstein had lots of shady connections with lots of the elite. We will likely never know the truth of what went on. Of course, if anything does come out, I've got no problem with seeing either of them thrown to the wolves.

I do find it an interesting phenomena that some people will big up Biden's supposed connections but play down Trump's. What is that makes some instinctively defend the billionaire and member of the elite Donald Trump?

There are more white nationalists in the U.S. than we like to admit. Trump soared to popularity when he first called to ban Muslims and called Mexican immigrants rapists.

Trump is popular because America is a racist nation. That, and he appeals to (white) evangelical Christians.

Wanting to have a strong border is racist?

No. Calling Mexican immigrants drug-peddling rapists and for a ban on Muslims is.

Don't be silly you don't need evidence. You just need to feel that it is right.

The absence of evidence doesn't prevent Trump supporters from knowing the 2020 election was stolen from Trump by the geriatric senile cunning mastermind Joe Biden.
