ai misconduct uni

i recieved a penalty at uni as i was accused of using ai to generate my essay, even though i didnt.

i dont know what to do- i do not have document history, although i have seen this is highly reccomended to use in my appeal but i did not have autosave turned on.

i currently have screenrecorded my browser history from the essay period, and attached the lecture on the topic from canvas. i printed my essay and highlighted exactly what info came from where- what page number in the lecture or what google search led to this and attached all three documents.

will this be enough info??? or could they still accuse me as i dont have document history :frown:

Hi,

Have the uni said why they think it was AI generated? I would recommend that you run your essay through multiple AI checkers, and print/ save these results. I would also recommend that you seek help from the Student's Union, as they are there to advocate for you, for circumstances such as this.

It is strange that the uni would say it is AI generated, if it isn't. Is there anything that you could think of that may make them think it is AI generated. Have they provided any evidence to why they think it was AI generated?
