Private candidate for A-levels in the UK

does anyone here study (in boarding school [optional]) in the uk and take a few extra a level subjects on their own, as a private candidate?
how do u manage studying these subjects by yourself?
do u partake in any tuition classes for those subjects?
does your school let u take these extra subjects outside of school? (like some boarding schools r strict and dont allow students to leave the campus, especially internation students without parents in the uk)
can international students (not from uk, studying in uk) register to be a private candidate?
which website do I use to register for the examinations?

You find a test centre that allows you to take the exams, and you pay them

Yes, as long as you're at a UK based school or college.

Which A-Level subjects do you want to study?

Campbell Harris College here in London is just a few minutes walk from High Street Kensington tube station Kensington, and is located on High Street Kensington, W8 6SH, London.

Since opening in 1994, Campbell Harris has provided an efficient and friendly centre for private candidates to sit exams from GCSE to A level. Students can sit almost all qualifications with us as a private candidate, and we can accommodate most extra time and access requirements. We are also now a centre for Oxford Admissions Tests and can offer CAT, ELAT, GAT, MAT, HAT, MLAT, PAT and Philosophy test.

Then you would have to be enrolled at a school or college as a full-time student.
That's the condition of your visa.
