England - Wales postgraduate application denied...what now?

Hi,

So I used SFE for my 3 years of undergrad geography at a welsh uni as I come from England, so I figured it'd be safe to apply for SFW as I've been living in Wales for the past three years and I'm now private renting with my partner in a welsh city for my postgrad course. I put my welsh address into student finance England as I have no intention of moving back to England after my course is finished, and it advised I apply through welsh finance.so i did that and now my application has been denied because they said I used SFE for my undergrad so I must use SFE for postgrad.

Everything I have, so banks, medical, government etc even passport has my welsh address on it. I can't delete or cancel my SFW application now either or restart one as they say I have one active application. What do i do???

Hi there. When did you finish your undergraduate course and when do you start your postgraduate course? Thanks, Leah.

Thanks. If a student moves/relocates to another domicile after studying an undergraduate course to study attend a Postgraduate Master's the PG team will automatically make the student ineligible. This is due to the student being considered still resident in their original domicile.

If the you would like to provide evidence or if you would like to dispute the decision made on the application, in regards to moving to Wales for the purpose of study, you would need to contact SFW for this.

Telephone: 0300 200 4050
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm

Thanks, Leah.
