So I didnt do as well as I wanted in my A-Levels last year, I got BBB predicted AAA. I wanted to resit them for this year but my Sixth Form screwed up big time, they didnt allocate me a place for resitting and then they said I had to pay £1500 to resit three A Levels because of late fees. I got an offer from Liverpool of AAA, they didnt contextualise it despite me being eligible. After being shafted by the Sixth Form, I had no way of fulfilling the AAA requirement of my Liverpool offer. I explained my situation to Liverpool and they revoked my offer. I thought this was an odd move, my understanding is that Liverpool is in clearing every year and they allot places to people with BBB. I used the new UCAS tool to see what the usual grades are for the Law course I wanted to do and it said that they did give places to people with BBB, so idk why they are so resistant to giving me a place. Is this just a tactic to try and get high scoring candidates? Clearing opens in a few days and Im sure Liverpool will have loads of courses available. I really want to go to Liverpool, not only because its a RG but because I want to live in a northern city. Would appreciate advice, thanks.
