EEE super curricular

Hi,

I’ve been considering EEE for a while now because I got interested in the theory and how it links all of my subjects together and I am (very much hoping) to apply to universities like UCL, KCL

However, I haven’t been able to do anything practical based because there are no clubs, and summer schools were too expensive. I’ve mostly looked through lectures, yt vids, maths. I’m worried because I was told my application will be very weak because of this. I am planning on getting an arduino kit to play around with, but I dont think i would be doing anything that interesting in comparison to what people do in those robotics competitions. I was wondering if anyone is able to share what they had done for their application and their thoughts? + any book recommendations for further reading?

Thank you!

You could try EdX for extra courses and get certificates of completion for university level courses, or AP courses, increase your SAT score to at least 1500, ACT to at least 30, and make sure your GPA is the maximum you can get( I don't know where you're from but in my country we just do all A's instead of GPA system). I can sense you have excellent passion so performance shouldn't be a problem for you. If you do all those your chances should be higher I think
