Why do 18 and 19 year olds act like kids and teenagers?

I'm just wondering why do 18 and 19 year olds act like kids and teenagers but they don't act like adults.

Because they are? if you're nineteen, well, you're a teen.
Pretty rare you’ll find someone that acts like an adult at that age. I certainly had no clue what I was doing.

18 and 19 year olds.. are teenagers. (they're also technically adults but nowadays they have a lot of incentive to hang on to youth).

It appears that the human brain is not fully formed until a person reaches the mid twenties. I was barely an adult until I was thirty.

Brechas they are. You are fully biologically an adult by 24/25

Thats a good question. I heard a couple of loud thumps on my Car some couple years ago. I look and saw some 18/19 year olds having thrown wet sponges at my car from side of road. I guess could of been bricks, but was odd seeing such older teens doing the type of thing 12 year olds might do, lol. My opinion, our young people are being absoloutely RUINED by the Internet & Social Media etc and they are Not growing up mentally ,they simply are being brainwashed in all areas by Internet. That is my take on it, now shoot me down and say im wtong internet/social mdeia is fine etc !

Because adults blame their age on everything so they feel they get a pass. Rather than holding them accountable for their behaviour.

Adults even refer to 20 something year olds as kids.

At 18 and 19 you're still carrying your childhood idiosyncrasies around with you. I think the home environment encourages people to retain their behaviours, but when it comes to young adults they still don't know what the world is about. They've not yet adapted to life outside of school, so their world views are generally going to be shallower than fully-developed adults.
