Can I achieve a DDM or DMM?

I have just finished year 1 of level 3 btec applied science. I got a pass in units 2,4 and 10 and a merit in unit 8. In unit 1 exams I got a pass. I haven't got my unit 3 exam grade but it will most likely be a pass or merit. Is it even possible to get a DDM or DMM in my second year.
Please can anyone help so I know what to aim for

BTEC overall grades are based on the total of the points you earn in each unit. For internal (coursework) units, the units points are based upon the size of the unit (in guided learning hours, GLH) and the grade for that unit. For external (exam) units, the mark you get has an impact. We don't know your marks, so let's assume that your Unit 1 pass is mid-way between the pass and merit grade boundaries, and that your Unit 3 mark is the highest "pass" mark you get or the lowest "merit" mark you can get (as you say, "it will most likely be a pass or merit"). That being the case, you have 65 or 66 points so far.

For a DDM you need 196 points over the two years, and for a DMM you need 176 points overall. If you gained a distinction in each of the two exam units in year 2, and a merit in every coursework unit in year 2, then you could obtain DMM. Obviously lots of other grade combinations are possible.

Only you can decide how plausible that is.

BTEC calculator is quite handy.

https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/support/support-topics/results-certification/understanding-marks-and-grades/using-the-next-generation-btec-nqf-grade-calculator.html

You can put your current grades what you have recieved this year, and then play around with the grades you want to aim for this year in year 13.

Best of luck.
