Clearing question

Hi I’m a bit confused as to how clearing works I am considering applying for a different course via clearing than the one I am initially applying for so do I have to write another personal statement and is it possible to do so? Furthermore, when applying through clearing do I have to reject all my options first

Does your firm choice offer the new course? If so then just ring them tomorrow and ask to switch course.
Hi @tengye

Don't worry, you can secure a place at University through Clearing. You will need to decline your offers to apply through Clearing. However, not all courses are in Clearing so it's important to research what's on offer and where. You can do this by checking UCAS and University websites.

Once you've found a course you want to apply to, contact the University directly. Be sure to have your UCAS ID, GCSE and college exam results to hand. The University will then make you an offer. Login to your UCAS hub and add your Clearing choice.

Our Clearing webpage details more information about Clearing and we have helpful videos and podcasts to talk you through the process, visit tees.ac.uk/clearing

We are also offering students the opportunity to sign up to our Clearing support package which may be of interest to you.

I hope this helps and good luck with your next step!
Thanks,

Hi Hannah

Copy and pasting generic responses isn't very helpful and is likely to make Teesside look desperate rather than supportive.

Also i think i kinda made a mistake where i submitted the application today and then cancelled it and kinda got worried by different websites saying that you dont need an application just have a ucas account number and i ll still be able to get through clearing is that true ?And if not should i call ucas to stop my application from getting cancelled as it takes 10 days from completely getting it withdrawn

Ring UCAS on Monday.
Clearing is part of UCAS. You need a full submitted UCAS application to use clearing.

Talk to UCAS. They’ll be able to undo any cancellation.
