Student finance England for Irish students

Hello, I received an offer to study at the University of Cambridge as a postgraduate student starting in October 2024.

I need to apply for a postgraduate student loan but I am having trouble opening a UK bank account as I don’t have a confirmed address in the UK yet.

I am just wondering if I can put my AIB bank details on the student finance England form? Will this be accepted?

Hi irishgal99,

A long as you are living in the UK on the first day of the 1st term of your course, you should be eligible.

You will need to provide bank details that belong to a UK bank, you can provide these at a later date however, you will only receive payment once you have provided these.
