The Student Room Group

Crush disappeared from workplace (no way to contact and it hurts).

I’m going through this same situation now. I met him at work, and he would stare at me from across the room every day that I was scheduled and it would cause this burst of feeling inside of me. One time he saw me staring at him from the corner of his eyes and he smirked. The first day that I worked with him, he saw me struggling with a heavy item and he rushed over to me and grabbed it from me. His eyes lit up when he saw me before. However, a few weeks/months before he left he stared at a new girl and practically broke his neck for her. I started to avoid his gaze and anything else that included him. When he looked at me, I would roll my eyes and back away from his gaze. After that, he started to grow a beard when he didn’t have one priorly and he started to look like he was going through something. After that his hours at work were reduced so I barely ever saw him anymore, and when I did he would avoid my gaze even though his eyes told me that he wanted to look at me. Then he was gone from work, no more hours and his name tag disappeared. His friend still works here and he acts like he’s not supposed to look at me, and like he’s shocked when he sees me. Seeing his friend and the girl that he looked at makes me think of him even more than I already do. I sometimes smell his scent even when I’m not around where he was…it hurts.

Are you actually serious? I'm going to assume you're a teenager, in which case I understand the level of immaturity. You started avoiding him just because he also seemed to like another girl, despite the fact you two hadn't even dated and he had no idea which girl, if any, would be compatible. You first appeared interested in him, then you withdrew your interest, now you're upset because it had the logical results of hurting him and pushing him away? What?

Make up your mind. I suggest you to move on since he was looking at other women and it hurts you. I dont think its childish at all, when men act like that its annoying, a turn off and disrespectful, you didnt date but he could had made a effort.

But If you care so much about him ask your friends about his whereabouts. And only, only if you date you ask about the other girl. I dont think he is worth though
