Feeling negative thoughts?

I want to a big family party and I wasn't socialising or talking with people.

I was looking at my phone all the time. I'm waking up the next day now and I wish I could've done better.

I'm worried that people would think I'm a cold person. I did smile and talk to people for like a minute.

I suffer from social anxiety too and I guess looking on my phone was a escape mechanism.

Any advice?

First thing, I would ask is have you had any traumatic events in the past ?. Often such trauma can cause social anxiety. Sometimes also it can be to do with a "Neurodivergence" that you may not be aware you have. I myself suffered TERRIBLY from Social Anxiety in youngers years. Let me give you one example. I went with mother of a friend for coffee in a quiet restaurant ,indoors, and for some reason I started slightl shaking and sweating a bit, feeling all nervy . I always used to find that I was much better outdoors for some unknow reason. But generally I used to be very anxious. Now looking back I think i am undiagnosed neurodivergent .

Let me give you some advice if I may. Look up Hynotherapy Directory on Google (should be first result) and
then find a Therapist in your area who will give you 1/2 hr Free consultation. Ask them how they can help
as Hypnotherapy and EMDR (rapid eye movement) can be very good for anxiety and will really really calm you down.
May take a few sessions but of she/he Hypnotises you, you will feel so incredibly relaxed.

Infact adding to that. When you the next party etc to go to, get a Hypno session day or so before and get them to implant that you will be very very calm and relaxed at that party. See how that does it.
