Law with French and students going home weekends

Hi

I am an English student (Year 12) and thinking about applying to QUB for Law with French.

Firstly, can anyone tell me if English law is studied and if you can then go on to work in England? The prospectus for Las with French states Northern Irish law but for the straight Law degree this is not mentioned. It is a bit confusing.

Secondly, I was also reading the threads about the NI students going home on weekends and did not realise this was the case. What is this like really? I was attracted by the course but also the city and accommodation and think it looks like it would great socially but coming all the way from England I really want to have a good social experience as well

Any help really appreciated , planning in the Open Day in September.
