Applying to UC’s as a UK student

How would I apply if I dont do any extracurriculars, have a GPA or SAT’s, I know I would be in the international student program but that is the only thing I know of. Please any tips would help, thanks.

GPA is only applicable to US students, if you're from anywhere else it's meaningles- your school will provide a transcript with predicted/actual grades and that's all you need. SAT is not even going to be considered at UCs (if you mean the various Universities of California, like UCLA, UCSD or Berkley). Also, the UCs do not give any significant aid to students that come from outside California. Can you afford 75K dollars a year for 4 years? Otherwise, do some proper research, starting with the pinned threads, on how to apply and where you can get financial aid. Be prepared to put in a lot of work if you want to have a shot at USA Universities. GL

So for the UK, what exactly would the UC’s be looking at: my GSCE’s, A-levels, extracurriculars? I have been loosely searching for financial aid schemes or scholarships but haven’t actually been deep-diving.

Considering application and study ethic, how would u suggest I work hard enough to successfully attend those school?

For extra-curriculars, take a look at this pdf from the University of California website: https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/_files/documents/2023-counselor-conference/pdfs-with-notes/all-in-the-details_maximizing-the-activities-and-awards-section_with-notes.pdf

Other than your grades and extra-curriculars, US unis also place heavy emphasis on teacher recommendation letters and your essays as they want to know who you are as a person instead of knowing you just by your achievements and resume. good luck!
