Applying to Oxford for a masters when doing undergraduate at an average university?

Hello,

So I want to apply for an Advanced Computer Science degree at Oxford for my masters, who want a first, I got pretty good results in my first and second year getting 79.8% in my first year and 80.7% in my second year.

However I am studying at Reading for my undergraduate, which isn't a bad university but isn't like a top tier university. Does this matter at all, does Oxford care what university you were doing your degree at? What would be the chances of getting in with those grades at an averageish university and is there any point of applying or will it basically be automatically rejected due to it not being from a high enough university?

No makes no difference which University your undergraduate degree is from. They're only looking for the best and brightest students. Getting a first and coming top of your year group at Reading would help though 🙂
