Can you order DSA laptop from curry’s

Hello, I’m just wondering if anyone has been able to order a DSA laptop from curry’s? The uni recommended using concept northern but the range of laptops available isn’t great. The point of getting the laptop is so that the additional software DSA are providing can be downloaded onto it. Not too sure if I’d be able to buy a laptop and then give it to the company to upload the software…

Hi,

I'm not too sure if you can do it separately to them as they personally provide the laptop so I would recommend calling them to see. Software wise though, I think they just gave me the links to everything so I think you could technically download it onto any computer. I got a mac which had nothing on it and i just dowloaded everything onto it so that should be fine but just make sure the laptop comes through DSA to get the discount.

yes, you can buy directly but will be responsible for the warranty etc, your provider will have to requote without the laptop and warranty and student finance will reimburse you the costs, the costs of the insurances are looser but in the DSA2 you'll see a laptop quote, say for argument sakes it says £450. Remember you're responsible for the for £200 so its actually just £250.

But they're likely to quote you a similar cost to the retailer so it would be cheaper if you want something "better" to purchase it directly but of course you need to have the money. I do not think they have much more than profiteering in mind.

My assessor was amazing but left the company..
