The Student Room Group

UWE bristol (CAS)

I got a conditional offer with the condition of paying deposit. I applied with my ielts ( expired) one and also duolingo. In offer, they didn’t ask for extra documents except for deposit. I am afraid that they will ask for IELTS for CAS after I pay deposit. I wanna know they accept duolingo and give CAS. Also, is there any problem if I submit my visa application with no IELTS?
If the uni has an international student office or immigration team I would recommend contacting them to check.

Thanks for your suggestion. I already contacted them but they are taking so long and my intake is in September. I haven’t make any deposit because I am not sure about that. Now I am worry about my visa application and intake.

Have you tried calling them?

I also received conditional offer and there is a deadline for deposit. But I have a document about I applied a scholarship programme but the result was not clear. Anyway I sent this document to bristol. Now there is no deadline for deposit.

Hia!
My name is Joni and i have recently been given an offer of accommodation at transom house however ive got concerns regarding its lack of shared social spaces, for example: a shared common room.
Ive read online reviews and they are VERY mixed and I’m slightly freaked out. My first choice was Nelson and drake due to its central location, sociable reputation and overall good reviews. I was considering calling up accommodation to ask if they have any available rooms in Blenheim court or Nelson and drake.
I noticed your reply to the original person of this thread and saw that your an official uwe rep and thought maybe you could give me some insight into which accommodation you recommend? Do you think that common rooms are important? Is transom a nice place to live socially as well as just generally? (I noticed its a bit further away from all of the other accommodations on the map)
The rooms like quite spacious and nice but i just want to be sure.

Thank you!

Hi @PashaJB,

Thanks for getting in touch! 🙂

Congratulations on receiving an accommodation offer! In terms of your decision, it will depend on which part of the city you would like to live in. All of our city centre accommodation has great transport links to our campuses so you will be well connected and be able to experience city living. Which campus are you studying at? This might be something to think about when weighing up different accommodations.

If you have any specific accommodation queries I would give the team a call on +44 (0)117 32 83601. Transom House also have a specific email address [email protected] you can get in touch with.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Courtney
