You'll have to look at the likes of Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Argos and all the other retailers own website for jobs availability.

They do take a lot of younger people on over the summer months with a view of offering them permanent work.

Depending on your age ( no retailers will empty you until you are at least minimum age of 16 okay) boots the chemist takes on young people from the age of 15 with a age 18 restrictions on certain things.

When you are applying for jobs - you'll have to make sure you do a online profile first, then search jobs in your local area and read what it says on job description, there apply for it and await reply back, if you successfully with this stage you'll be asked probably to do a online assessment and if you get enough points from that you'll be offered a in-store/ or telephone interview.

Hey there 😀

Finding a part-time job can be tricky, but there are a few things you can do to increase your chances and find a place that will need you!

Even if it seems like there are no vacancies available, try visiting local shops, cafes, and restaurants. Busy places like those are extremely dynamic and often need some extra help. Bring a copy of your CV and ask to speak to the manager. That is how I found my second job in Leicester. I applied online for multiple positions with no luck. One day, I went around the city and handed out my CVs. It was the most successful and effective job hunt 😅

If you are good at a particular subject, consider tutoring younger students. You can advertise your services at local schools or online through social media and tutoring websites. Wage rates are usually much higher and it is an extremely flexible option.

Let friends, family, and teachers know you are looking for a job. They might know of openings or have connections that can help. Additionally, you can try social media platforms like Facebook to look for job postings in local community groups or job pages.

Finally, you could offer babysitting or pet sitting services. Post flyers in your neighbourhood or advertise on local community boards and online. Many of my friends babysit and always tell me about their nice experiences and flexibility in the role.

I hope it was helpful 💪 Feel free to reach out if you have any questions 😉 You can also chat with me orother students directly through The Ambassador Platform.

Good luck with your job search!

Try fast food places. They take on a lot of students. Especially mcdonalds. Look on the careers section of their website.
