I know this is hard to predict, but does anyone know any good (potentially Russel group) uni’s I can get into through clearing this year? If I had to guess, I’ld say that I’m hoping to get A*,A,B or A*,B,B, or maybe even A*,B,C if I didn’t go my way
'Top' Unis will not put Law into Clearing - because they won't need to.
Unis like Liverpool, Surrey, Sussex, City, Reading, Leicester are all good for Law, and they are the sort of Unis that are more likely to be in Clearing, or look at joint subject degrees (like LLB Law 'and' Politics or Business etc), as these courses tend to be less competitive.

Southampton, Birmingham and Exeter tend to be in clearing for law, so there’s a decent chance they will be hopefully

I did law at UWE through clearing and their degree is tailored toward legal practice and as well as the theory of law, so a good choice if you want to practice law.
The practise of law is best learned on the job, as a pupil barrister or a trainee solicitor. Law is like driving, flying, skiing etc. The only way to learn to do those things is to do them.
A point of detail: The verb "practise" is spelled with an s. The noun "practice" is spelled with a c.
The list McGinger gives is great, also Cardiff & QMUL were in clearing last year (it sometimes happens!) but only very briefly for UK students. I believe QMUL was open longer for international students. Check out Kent too. Their law school is really making strides owing to some very proactive staff.
It’s a good tip about looking for Law ‘with’ courses. IMO to keep later options open (the Bar) I’d only go for one where it’s an LLB that is qualifying. However, given the advent of SQE for solicitors, the debate about actually needing a qualifying law degree is real - but not for this thread.
I add that, to be a qualifying law degree, the name of the degree doesn't matter but the content does. A BA in law which includes the core subjects is a qualifying law degree.
Probably not in Clearing, no. It is definitely worth considering the point, you are correct. One should check, don’t assume. I have read stories of students who began reading a law degree only to then realise it wasn’t qualifying.
