Work Experience For CS

I sat my A levels this year (2024) and I'm aiming to hopefully study CS at uni. However, currently I do not have much relevant work experience. Just wanted to know whether people can land summer internships at uni without having a lot of relevant cs work experience and whether their are any courses or work experience available for Yr 13 leavers.

MBDA has a 1 week programme that runs over Easter/summer holidays, applications open in October. It’s really competitive though. Arm does 1-2 day experience which I believe is first come first served.
Might need to check age requirements, I did MBDA after y11 and arm in y12
