Clearing Computer Science

Hey guys, i’m taking an Access to HE he course and i got 42 distinctions and 3 merits, but the thing is i don’t wanna go to my firm nor insurance choice, so i’m just thinking about getting a place through clearing.

does anyone have assumptions about what RG unis might go to into clearing for computer science or AI? i know that kcl had clearing for CS and AI last year and i got the grades so i’m hoping it would have it this year too, is there any correlation between last year’s clearing and this one? like does last year’s clearing for these degrees somehow affect this year? i know that there’s more chances to have a course on clearing if it’s not that competitive, do you know if AI and CS is highly demanded in KCL? and does anyone know if QMUL does/did clearing for these courses?

i’ll also officially get my grades in a few weeks i believe, but it must be before the a-levels results day which is 15th august. can i apply to clearing as soon as i get my results? like should i not wait till 15th august to actually apply for clearing?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWERS IN ADVANCE

Where are your firm/ insurance choices?
Why do you think that a RG university would be a good choice for CS?

Hi there @ggerymmm!

So - early clearing opens on the 5th of July - you'll be able to see some of the courses on offer from this date onwards. I would recommend taking a look to see if your desired course is available through clearing this year. However, if you don't see your course listed, all is not lost - on A level results day, courses that are currently closed for applications may go into clearing - so it's absolutely worth checking again on the morning on the 15th of August!

If you have your qualifications already, your desired course is in clearing, and you meet the requirements, we would welcome an application!

Hope this helps

I'm on the same page don't want to go to my firm or insurance aswell and I've just had a scroll on clearing sites and have seen UCL offering a Comp Sci course that only requires 100 ucas points but I'm assuming it will be the battle of the fittests

That seems unlikely for UCL. Is that for international students?

You can go to the UCAS website now and take a look at who is in clearing, although this will be a changing picture up to and including results day
