History Coursework URGENT HELP (Vietnam)

I have decided to do the question "Historians have disagreed about why the United States got involved and remained in the Vietnam war", if anyone knows any sources I can use to help form interpretations that would be a huge help!
I don't have specific historians, but would highly recommend using JSTOR to find articles!
Did your teacher help you with the question? Seems pretty broad.

What's the rest of the title/question?

My teacher provided our class with questions and this was the only Vietnam one, I can still change it. Do you have any questions that are similar to this one but with better wording?

That was just it 😕 I'm rethinking my question now, if you have any recommendations that still relate to the Vietnam war that would be extremely helpful!

Does it not add a phrase such as "What is your opinion?" or "Evaluate the differing opinions"?

I would think something more focused would produce a more structured essay, "Fighting the spread of communism was the main reason America remained in Vietnam after the French were defeated." How far do you agree?

If you have something like the above, it will allow you to explore the headline factor "fighting communism" and examining two or three other factors like extending America's military presence and extending American economic penetration.

If you struggle with structure, let me know. I've got a pdf booklet that may help.
