Why do I keep getting rejected for part time jobs?

For context, I've applied to around 20 part-time jobs, none of which require experience. and have only received 1 interview, which went well, but I was still rejected. The main reasons I can think of are experience, shift times, and location ( some are a 40 minutes walk away)

For experience, I’ve worked numerous volunteer jobs and still volunteer at the local athletics coach.*
was the FD of the school's Young Enterpise Team.*
had 3 placements at 3 different firms for unpaid work experience.*

My educational background is also pretty decent, (so I don't think this is the issue)

With most grades between a 7-9 at GCSE, the lowest grade I received was a 5.*

A*A*A projected for A levels*

For shift times, I can do everything apart from 7-9 p.m. on Monday and Thursday, as well as 10-12 a.m. on Saturday (I was rejected from Morrison explicitly due to my shift requirements not meeting what they needed).*

Interviews for part-time jobs are currently 0 for 1, so this could be an issue, but then I went 5/5 for the apprenticeships I applied for as well as being successful for the PWC Flying Start degree.*

So my main question is: why do I keep getting rejected from “easy to get” part-time jobs at Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Asda, Subway, Iceland, Domino's, etc.
*
Apart from the reasons I listed above, I can only think of situational assessments, but I compared my answers to those who received the job and to those of friends and family as well, and the answers are identical. So I’m just confused.*

If you are applying on Indeed then that could be why… every 16,17,18 year old in the county has probably also applied. Your best chance is to print out your CV and go to all the small businesses in your local area. This is what I did and I now work at the local garden centre.

I’ll give that a go I was looking on indeed and a few other sites to find jobs and then applying directly through the businesses career page instead of indeed’s.

Best thing to do is apply for jobs via the companies own website rather than using other sites. You'll have a better chance of getting a interview with hopefully a offer of a job.

Do a online profile for the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Asda, Boots, Primark and then search for any local jobs in your area and apply. Most retailers will ask you to do a online assignment prior to getting a interview offer.

Good luck with your searching.

I work with a very known supermarket as team leader and I stand in as supervisor as required part-time.
