Transferring MSc loan from one course to another.

Hi.

I dont know if this is possible. I have taken an MSc loan and was due to do my final year next year.

Could I finish this year and acquire a PGDIP on the course I'm currently on then transfer to another course within the same university to do my MSc year on a different course?

It seems pointless to do the full MSc in a topic I only needed a PgCert in and I know that your only allowed one postgraduate loan.

I know I would likely need to self fund some of studies as I've used 3/4 of the loan.

Hi there,

Can you please provide the name of your current course and the university you're studying at?

Thanks,
Ross

Hi it's uclan and Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy.

I would 100% need to finish with my pgdip as I've done all the work for it and I can do that from August/Sept but I'd like to transfer over to a psychology conversion for my msc either at uclan or arden.

Thanks again for confirming.

If you've started a Postgraduate Masters course and would get a qualification, you'd be ineligible for further support.

Thanks,
Ross

Hi,

I'd advise to call us to 100% confirm this as we don't have account access on public forum. The best number is 0300 100 0031.

After you speak to one of our advisors could you come back to the thread and let me know the outcome if possible?

Thanks,
Ross
