Royal Holloway clearing

I applied to Rh for creative writing and didn’t get in. The requirements are AAB and ucas says the lowest grade someone who got an offer got is CCC. ucas also says there’s spaces left in the course so it’s likely to be in clearing; could I get an offer in clearing with a lower grade eg ABC.

Potentially, yes.

However, you seem to be assuming that the reason you didn't receive an offer was due to your A level grades (predicted or actual). That is not the only information which universities look at when making offer decisions - they also look at your GCSE grades, your personal statement, your academic reference etc. etc.

And - these stats are very misleading.
Someone accepted with CCC in a previous year may have been on a special WP scheme or with mitigating circumstances. It doesnt mean that you would get an offer in Clearing for CCC - even if that course is in Clearing this year.

Hi, thanks for your reply,
I am not assuming as the admissions team said on my offer that my predicted grades were not high enough but they were really impressed with the rest of my application so they gave me an offer for a similar course with a foundation year. I want to do year one which is why I want to go through clearing.
