Is there any uni courses that would take CCC at A level

Original post by nutz99
There are unis that you could get in with CCC but obviously they will be at the lower end of the ratings tables. Achieving BBB or even BBC would put you in a much better position for getting into a decent uni.

I received a ccc for my predicted grade, leaving me confused about my next steps. I plan to study hard for the remaining a level year and hopefully strive for a BBb or BBc for my final. Can I still apply to a better rating university despite my present ccc grade? what would happen if i plan to do that?

Yes of course. My local uni takes medicine students on the requirements of only CCC.

A lot depends on the course you intend to apply for. You have a few different options if these are definitely your predicted grades. One I would say is that you have to apply to unis offering CCC. Maybe 2 or 3 unis. Then consider a uni offering BCC and another offering BBC. I'd be very surprised if a uni offering BBB would accept you - you could try but don't be surprised if you get knocked back.

If you don't get offers or you just get offers for CCC which you turn down you can always use Extra to see if there's anything better - https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/after-you-apply/types-undergraduate-offers/extra-choices

Failing that there is always Clearing - https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/clearing-and-results-day/what-clearing

Worcester

Worcester only offers graduate Medicine - and the cut-cost and controversial, Physician Associate mess (this is not 'Medicine').

I’m not talking about the graduate entry medicine, I’m talking about the medicinal sciences bachelor degree course. It is a proper medicine degree to do before Graduate entry and you have to pass the GAMSAT / UCAT (I can’t remember next one) to continue after 1 year.

I have spoken to the professor who delivers to course.
