CBAT question about scoring

I recently took my CBATs at Cranwell for Royal Navy Pilot and Observer. My scores are below:

Pilot (Cutoff: 128): 126
Observer (Cutoff: 100): 132
Air Traffic Control (Cutoff: 100): 135

I spoke to the guy who gave me my results and he wasn't 100% on how it works but he said that the Admiralty Interview Board will review my results and may view the two points as being irrelevant and may still allow me to continue as a Pilot. I am not interested in the slightest in ATC but my reserve is Observer however I am very set at getting Pilot and hope there is still a chance. I understand it is a competitive field and that they can be strict and I won't be too upset if I am given observer (I am aware that even if I passed pilot they could still stream me to Obs or ATC). But I was wondering if anyone else has ever been in the position of being a couple points short and how their application went with that. The officer who told me my results say's he's never seen any results like that and I maxed out a couple tests and got all the red bars but was just two points off. So, I was just wondering if anyone has any advice or if anyone is an Observer could tell me a bit about what it's like. I know the training is very intense but I am interested in it.

Thank you.

Ex-RAF Recruiter, so can't comment directly on the RN. However, during my time the policy was that a candidate who just missed a test score could be considered by a Board if they had an exceptionally strong application, and I mean exceptional. There was only one from my AFCO in the 2 years I worked there, and this guy was successful because he had everything: qualifications, job, played sports at a high level, volunteering, mentoring etc.
