A level history or economics

Should I take A level history or economics? I did igcse economics but I've never done history before. But I wanted to look into history because it seemed interesting plus I don't mind lots of reading or writing

does your school have a sixth form?
if so maybe talk to a history teacher and ask them what the course is like

What other A levels are you choosing?
Do you have any ideas what subject you might want to take at Uni?
Will your school allow you to take an A level without having a GCSE in the same subject?

The other two are Literature and Law, and I want to study law in the University. Yes the school doesn't require me to have it as a GCSE subject. Any advice based on this? Although I don't think Economics is as interesting as History, I did pretty well in it. I was skeptical about taking it at A levels because I though a lot of math was involved but this was disputed.

From what you are saying I would take History. That is what you find interesting and would fit well with your other subjects and prospective university course.

For a Law degree there are no required subjects - you could be taking 3 science A levels, it would still be fine. So it makes sense to take 3 subjects you will enjoy studying and where you feel confident of good grades. If you dont need Econ, and you are not especially interested in it, History would be perfectly okay with your other 2 subjects.

The thing is, I just think it's interesting on a surface level. I've never done it before so I'm sacred to jump into it because not only do I want to enjoy the subject, I want to get an A. All information aside, can you (Or anyone else) give an overview of what a level economics and a level history is actually like? I'm genuinely going of aesthetics right now, and videos I've watched aren't really helping. Thanks for the previous advice
