Clearing for dental hygiene therapy
Hi everyone,
I am hoping to get a place through clearing tomorrow for a dental hygiene and therapy course.
Can anyone give me some advice on how I should go about this and any tips they could give me? Not sure if they will be doing clearing for this course but I am really passionate about doing this and hope I can secure a place 😊

Unlikely it will be in Clearing - a) its an interviewing course and thats difficult to do in the middle of Results Day, b) spaces will often be offered to Dentistry applicants who missed their offers.
Did you apply this year, and not get offers?

Unfortunately not! I have got an interview with Portsmouth again this year. Hopefully I will get in, second time lucky 🤞🏼

Hi I’m in the same boat as you , have just gotten rejected from my dht courses , do u think I should try for clearing? Or take a gap year and what did you do in ur gap year ?

They very rarely open up dental courses through clearing as they will have to interview people again. They normally interview hundreds of people at a time for a small amount of places on the course as well. I just carried on working as a dental nurse and APM and did some more courses to help me stand out. I really do think it’s just luck getting in sometimes x
