clearing?

hi is it silly to apply in clearing without contacting the university first? on their website it says clearing is open but their phone number is inactive.

i have emailed them but i feel like a swift response is unlikely(judging by past communications with them).

itd be best to contact them first, have you tried their ug admissions number? do you not hold any offers at the moment? itd be extremely risky if you decline ur place without having any verbal offers from another

You should always phone a Uni first to check the actually want your Clearing application - if there is no special Clearing line, just call the normal Admissions phone number. Remember that you cannot use Clearing, or contact a Uni until you have your results.

Hi,

I would recommend ringing the university's admissions phone number, as it may be that their clearing helpline does not open until results day.

If you have your results then they will be able to go through the clearing application with you, however if you are still waiting for your results, you will need to wait until results day.

Hope this helps,

A clearing app without first having a clearing conversation will just be an automatic rejection. Worst still, you will be stuck in limbo until the uni makes that decision and releases you back into clearing.

As above, just call the general admissions number.

Hi Ahmed,

Once the universities phone lines are open (normally the morning of clearing) we'd recommend you contact them, phoning is normally best. So you can ask to apply for the course you're looking for. The university will let you know if they can accept you onto the course and will be able to answer any questions you might have!

Wishing you the best of luck in getting your university place!
