Work experience for psychology?

So I'm going into final year studying psychology and I need to gain 50 hours work experience relating to the field. A letter confirming this needs to be submitted in December and I would rather get something sorted for through the summer so I don't have to worry about it when I go back, any ideas what I could do?

Do online support platforms count? Try charities if not or mental health hospitals

I did volunteering for shout. It is a mental health text service which is all done online. They're always looking for volunteers, so you can give that a go?

Hi @lifestartsnow.x ,

I agree with the above, especially with volunteering for SHOUT as @AAJXOXO as you can get your hours in when it suits you best.

Online support platforms and volunteering is great as its flexible but if you want some in person experience you could try contacting some local charities to see if they are looking for volunteers to work.

I hope this helps and good luck finding work experience!

Thank you for this. Can I ask, how did you get the confirmation letter? And was the 25 hour training included in your set hours of work experience?

No problem. And I initially applied through their website and from there they can advise you further. And yes my 25hours of training were included in the hours
