Ok so I study a mixed programme and overall I’ll get 2 A-Levels, 2 BTECs and 2 AS-Levels.
My question is regarding the BTECs.
For my travel and tourism BTEC I’m projected currently to get D* since I’ve got nothing but distinctions. Does this mean I can tell people I got an A* since they are equivalent?
My 2nd BTEC is forensic science which is worth 1.5 A-Levels and I’m projected to get a merit in this qualification - due to the 1.5 A-Levels worth a merit actually equals an A so can I tell people that too?
Another question is What happens to these BTECs for Uni? How do I get in with 2 A-Levels and 2 BTECs. I know my uni’s accept BTECs I’m just not sure how it will work mixing them. I know some accept UCAS points so that’s great on that end since my qualifications will have the equivalent points of A* and A respectively. I’m just ensure on the ones that don’t have UCAS points.

No you cannot say you have an A* as you haven't. You have a BTEC at Dis Star, which is equivalent in UCAS points. Additionally for the Forensic Science the Merit is equivalent to Grade C (but does give 48 UCAS points for FDip which is same as Grade A). Look at University entry requirements for courses you are interested in. Some will ask for BTEC and / or A levels and some will ask for UCAs points.
