How accessible are the Clarendon Law Introductions series for prospective students?

I'm planning to apply to study law this Autumn and found that the Clarendon Law Introductions series has lots of interesting looking introductions to topics such as tort and company law. However, I was concerned about how challenging these would be to read as someone without much legal background knowledge, as while I am aware these are introductions, they certainly appear to be a step up from the very short introductions series haha. Is anybody who has ready these books able to perhaps give any reviews/input about how they found these or any alternative recommendations? If so, it would be greatly appreciated!
