clearing !! urgent !!

So I've gotten conditional offers at uni of bristol and uni of leeds subject to A*AA, for law
but I'm predicting an AAB or minimum ABB so I'll have to go for clearing, however as an international student it seems very confusing because I keep hearing different answers. I'm also concerned if any Russel group university will accept me for law at these grades. tbh I dont even know what I'm asking at this point.

WHY are you assuming you 'will have to go into Clearing'?
You may get better grades than you assume - or either of those Unis could still accept you despite missing your offer, especially since you are a valuable (££) International applicant.

This did make me feel better, however I might not get accepted or I might do worse than I expected so I need a backup plan or else I'll be totally lost on results day if something does happen.

Hi @fatimafatima,

In UCAS on results day you may be expected to receive three different offers on UCAS Hub: (1) Unconditional - your place on the course is confirmed, (2) Unsuccessful - you were not accepted into your choices, you can proceed to clearing, and (3) Unconditional Changed Course (UCC) - you don't have the necessary grades for your offer, but the university has proposed a similar course requiring lower grades.

If you don't meet the necessary grade requirements here are some options you can consider:

If you're only a few marks away from your grade, it is possible that you contact the university. They may be likely to hear you out if wish to appeal your grades. Do keep in mind they are not under any obligation to reconsider their decision.

You can simply accept the decision made on results day and proceed with the clearing route.

Hope this helps,

NO UNIVERSITY will want 'pleading' phone calls on Results Day from those they have just rejected - including BCU. If you are appealing your grades, send an email and stay off the phones.
