Can degree apprenticeships be too much?

I’ve heard good and bad of them. I’ve heard that you’re basically expected to work full time and also learn a whole degree on top of it.
The degree is usually done either by day release, block release or longer periods of study with placements around them.

A lot of the success of a degree apprenticeship will depend upon the people on it and how efficiently it's run but the study and work elements tend to be separated out somewhat. They are good ways to get a university level qualification while also gaining actually experience in the profession and industry area at the same time. This often brings some advantages over people straight from Uni.

However there can sometimes be more discipline and self-motivation required to succeed at an apprenticeship. Ex-apprentices ten to do very well afterwards though
Just realised I could have given an example. Here's one of the ones my employer runs. It has a 'What you'll do' section explaining how they break things down

There is a big work load, yes - and it makes sense, because you've got to do a degree and a full time job at the same time. However, it is perfectly manageable as long as you have good productivity and time management. If you want to know more, I can send you some links about life as a degree apprentice and how best to manage that work/degree balance. If you're interested, just let me know and then you can learn more about degree apprenticeships, to see if they'd be the right fit for you. Hope that helps

If possible please could you send the links on work life balance to me (starting my degree apprenticeships in less than two weeks and panicking XD)?

Thank you so much. I've been watching your videos for ages while I was applying for my apprenticeship. Super helpful advice.
