don’t know what degree to apply for

i’ve always had the idea of doing either politics, law or business but idk which one to pick. tbh i don’t really have the best grades to be applying for something like law, and politics seems like it will only be useful in the political sector, and business also seems like it would be useless but those are the only things i’m interested in 🤔

What have you done so far to help you work this out?

Social Science degrees are valued by employers because of the skills you learn - 'higher thinking skills', 'seeing the wider picture' etc, plus abilities like textual analysis, data etc. You will find Law and Politics grads working in career areas that have nothing to do with their degree subject because of their degrees.

Its also worth looking at other related degree areas, and joint subject degrees ;
Social Policy | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol
Undergraduate - A-Z - Courses - University of Liverpool - 'Law with ...'
Courses | Aston University - 'Business with ... '
Business Law in Practice, LLB (Hons) - Swansea University
American Studies, undergraduate courses : University of Sussex - 'with Politics' etc

Literally in the same boat as you, Im favouring law at the moment as there are so many career paths within it, if you want to go into the political sector it’s worth remembering you don’t necessarily need to have studied politics at degree level.
