UCAS not letting me add favorites

I don't know why but my UCAS account randomly stopped allowing me to add favourite courses, I can remove and shortlist existing ones but I cannot add new ones. I've tried different devices, clearing my browser of all cookies and history, trying other browsers. All the courses I add are 2025 - 2026.
Should I just delete and recreate an account is there something I might be doing wrong?

This sounds like a known UCAS glitch - try de-selecting the Uni and then selecting it again, this usually sorts out the problem.

The same is happening to me - I've tried going out of the course and searching it again but it's still not working!?

Remove that Uni as a choice - then re-select it.
The other possibility is that that specific course has been discontinued for 2025 entry.

If you continue to have have problems, phone UCAS for advice - they can look at your application and see what is going wrong.

Hi, I've just started experiencing this exact same problem.
Did you ever find a solution?

hello!
The only thing I found was rather then using course search, using the "all results" search that appears when you first open the website, allows you to favourite the course there, but no where else

To be extra specific, you would open UCAS, click the search which is automatically under "all results", type in the specific course you want for example: "oxford physics" and favouriting the result that appears thereafter.

It's a bit unfortunate but the only way I've found when you run into this error.

Damn, that's annoying, but thanks.

Have you found a way round the fact that 'all results' only shows a few results, and shows them alphabetically, so won't necessarily show the course you want, regardless of how specific you are? (for example, if you search "University of Edinburgh Philosophy," it shows results for the courses "Doctor of Philosophy," and "Philosophy and French," but not the simple philosophy MA course).

Sorry but I haven't, the best I can do is use the normal course search and then find what I want then copy paste the title and location into the other search. Hoping it get fixed eventually 😞

I've tried that, and half the time it still shows irrelevant courses or says 0 courses, lol. It's so frustrating.
Good luck in getting it fixed, yourself, and thanks for stopping me going insane by proving that someone else is struggling with this issue, too 🥲

the problem was never resolved - the only way i was able to add to favourites was exactly what salvism said above - selecting ‘ucas’ top left of your page (laptop) it will bring you to a search bar, there you’ll type your specific course and university (under ‘all results’) i recommend making a note of your choices to make this quick and simple. it will bring you to a page with a white background which was the only page that enabled me to add to favourites, no where else.
hopefully this is fixed soon!!
