What are non stem degrees which are worth studying

seeming as everyone has issues with english, communication, journalism, film degrees

Such a broad question, it depends on what you want to do with it post-university, as every course is 'worth' studying if it's going to benefit your next career steps. For example, a degree is theatre production might not be worth it to you, but that person who wants to do it as a career it might be the most useful course ever. - LG

Sorry, i understand i should of been clearer i have a passion for media and journalism however quite a few people i’ve spoke to say it’s a useless degrees and better to do an apprenticeship but i really would like to go to university but would hate for it to be a waste of money and time.

Late response so you might have already decided. But if you're interested in journalism, figure out what aspect interest you the most. For example, if you're interested in journalism of current affairs/political disputes/conflicts, then studying Politics, PPE, International Relations, History can be a great choice. Anything that interests you, you can reach out to sub fields of journalism. Or generally, English Literature is a good choice especially paired up with a foreign language, if you're interested in being a correspondent.
But courses like economics and finance are also an option to go into business journalism.
Tbh anything really that you have a passion for and develops your writing skills and understanding of society. Main thing is the university you study at and what experience you gain while studying and after
