Kcl med selection

I've heard that dentistry at KCL has a the system for GCSEs, and that 8 8/9 is full marks. does this apply for med at the same uni? I couldn't find any info on either on the website.

Also for med, on the website KCL doesn't specify what the A* must be in so could it be in any subject eg. pyschology not necessarily bio or chem. thanks in advance

Hey I applied to King’s last year and I believe they did use the same system for med where 8+ A*s at GCSE was 40/40 marks, 7A*s was 30/40, 6 was 20/40 and 5 is 10/40.
Also, I don’t think it matters which subject the A* is in as long as u have A in bio and chem.

Neither UCL nor Kings use A levels for anything beyond minimum requirements, Kings scores GCSE, UCAT and SJT and UCL ranks using UCAT

HI Dr GANFYD
Does KCL take into higher consideration achieved A level grades especially if they higher than A*AA .
Also how one can find the total score that will make us decide to apply to KCL or see it as a risk. Final does KCL take as WP flag students with school bursaries abd free school meals etc.

Hi There
do you think or know if KCL balance lower number of A* in GCSES with high UCAT. Also, how they view achieved A levels as opposite to predicted . My son has A*A*A achieved A levels in chemistry, Maths and Biology, 2960 band 2 UCAT and 2 x 9 , 3 x 8 , 4 x 8 and one grade 6 in English Language.
