I had a lot going on when I was taking my GCSEs. Clinical depression, extremely poor attendance etc.
So, I passed everything the first time but with all 4s and a 5 in English lit, which are not very good grades.
At the time, I was just happy I passed.
Now I am going Into my second year of college doing a level Btec 3 in computing and predicted D*D*D*, which Is equivalent to 165 UCAS points, I have the grades to apply for top 10 schools, and I have the extracurriculars for it, as I've been working in computing/ cyber security for the past year, I am a Microsoft certified technician and I have passed my comp tia sec+ which is a great qualification in the field.
However, all universities require a 6 in GCSE maths and a 5 in language. Do I even bother to resit at this point or just go/apply to much worse universities just because of my GCSEs? It just feels frustrating.
I can resit in November, but I would have to learn the whole of GCSE maths in 4 months when I'm not that gifted at it, and it has never been in my skill set. I'm just not sure what to do.
