Is a Masters course free in Scotland?
Hi all!
I moved to Scotland recently and now I am thinking of applying for a Masters at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh to study Play Therapy but I've always been confused whether you have to pay for postgrad fees here. And how does student finance work?

Hi, you’ll need to pay tuition for a masters, the free uni is unfortunately only for undergrad. You might be able to get a postgrad loan from SAAS to cover some of the tuition fees and living costs, but that would depend on if they consider you ordinarily resident in Scotland. If not, you might need to apply for a postgrad loan from the relevant funding agency from another part of the UK.
